BeachTeach School Services

What We Offer

BeachTeach offers tailored Beach School sessions for schools and other educational settings.

Beach Schools is an approach which encourages the development of children’s emotional and physical development through outdoor activities, play and exploration in the beach environment.  The philosophy of Beach Schools is to encourage and inspire children through positive experiences and engaging, motivating tasks that aim to promote:

  • Independence and resilience
  • Confidence and self-esteem
  • Teamwork and social cohesion
  • Communication and problem solving skills

Children will spend the session outside on the beach where they will be engaged in exciting activities such as: beach art and craft, scavenger hunts, construction activities, knot tying, team building and beach games; they will explore and learn to respect our coastal habitats; be enthused by our passionate team; be educated by discovering and identifying local marine species; and their lives will be enriched by learning in the outside environment. All sessions can be tailored to meet the needs of your children.

Although, we believe our sessions are beneficial for all children, they can provide huge benefits for PPM, SEND and children in need of emotional support.  Our sessions work best with small groups of up to 12 pupils, however, we are able to adapt our sessions to your specific needs – please do not hesitate to ask.

We take children’s safety extremely seriously: all of our activities are fully risk assessed, we are both enhanced DBS checked, insured and outdoor specific first aid trained. We have a partnership with Hengistbury Head Nature Reserve, allowing us to operate on the beach.
